Correlation of increasing number of tourists with crime rate in Sumenep regency in social disorganization theory

Abstract
Tourism is one of the initiatives aimed at
improving people's well-being and regional development facilities. The growth
in the number of tourist visitors in Sumenep Regency was linked to a rise in
the region's crime rate. Related to social disorganization theory, this study
seeks to investigate the concrete relationship between a rise in tourists
visiting and an increase in crime rates. In the Sumenep Regency area, this
studies use empirical research method with original data gathered from various
agencies. Based on the concept of Conditio sine qua non and an increase in
crime in specific forms with certain conditions, there is a concrete connection
between increased tourist visitors and increased crime rates. The ratio of
crime areas has shifted, particularly in areas with tourism potential.
