Multi-dimensional approach to regulating the convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications: A Cross-Jurisdictional review

Abstract
The Paper reviews the convergence of
telecommunications and broadcasting, both at the technological and service
ends. The Paper looks at the challenges and limitations of the existing legal
and regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions and recommended a
multidimensional approach that will adequately mirror and align with both
convergence and its converged services. The Paper recommends changes to
regulatory structures as well as statutory and legislative instruments as a
response as well as a potential trigger of convergence of broadcasting and
telecommunications.
