For a democracy to function equal access to justice is sine qua non. For the delivery of equal justice the provision of legal aid is very necessary and prime. It becomes more important in today’s time where legal process is very cumbersome and costly. In such situation Legal aid act as a great assistance to the poor deprived and so called unequal member of our society.
